2019/01/13 Tweet by Hikaru

Yesterday, Hikaru reached 10.000 followers on twitter! YAY! Congrats to her!!

わぁ!10,000フォロー超えてた! ありがとうございます(*´꒳`*) Wow! Thank you for over 10,000 followers!!

前回提案があったツイキャス…?しようかな? 今日の夜中の夜更かしイベントにするか…明日の夕方くらいにするか… 決まったらお知らせします♪

In her follow-up tweet she talks about doing a so called Twitcast, something that had been suggested to her before. For those of you who don’t know what that is, here’s a short round-up =>

TwitCasting is essentially a live streaming app and Twitter client rolled into one. TwitCasting Live splits the iPhone screen in half, allowing you to view your Twitter timeline, update your status, access the web etc. on the bottom half, while recording (broadcasting) video on the top.

When the recording begins, you can automatically tweet out a specific URL for the broadcast (“I’m live on Twitcasting!”) to your followers who just need to hit the link to watch the live stream on the web or even on their iPhones (iPhone users won’t hear sound though). The app comes in especially handy during events, for example. After the broadcast, you can choose to save and archive the recording on the TwitCasting website.

It seems to be VERY popular in Japan because the majority of the videos on the website is Japanese. Personally I have never heard of it before but I would LOVE Hikaru to do something like that.

Hikaru isn’t sure yet whether she should hold her event today late at night or tomorrow in the evening. I REALLY hope she will do it tonight because then I wil actually be able to watch it.
She will let us know her decision soon. Let’s wait patiently.

Project「Appreciation and Support for Kalafina」

putschki1969:

We have come up with a special idea of how all of us (= foreign/non-Japanese fans) can show our gratitude for the past ten years of Kalafina as well as our support towards Hikaru, Keiko and Wakana in an organised and united manner. Our main goals are:

  • Show our appreciation and gratitude for “Kalafina”;
  • Let Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru know that they have our full support;
  • Make sure that Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru will see our messages;
  • Make sure that various media outlets will notice them as well so we might get some exposure

Find the details below 〈(•ˇ‿ˇ•)-→

image

Our proposition looks like this/Rules of participation:

  • On December 25th at 7 a.m. (Japanese Standard Time) we shall put our plan into action;
  • Messages will be sent via Twitter so having your own public account is a requirement (everyone who would like to participate can still create an account - it is very easy);
  • Messages must contain the following tags:
    🠺 Hikaru’s tag (@Hikaru_0702_)
    🠺 Takeshi Kato’s tag (@kaxtupe - he is one of the editors at SPICE)
    🠺 common tag of our own choosing: #マイヤイヤ (=maiyaiya, short, positive and meaningful, the perfect tag for our project)
  • Our messages will be addressed to Kalafina (= Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru). We will send them to Hikaru (since she is the only one with a public social media account) but we intend to reach all three members of Kalafina with our plan. For the past ten years, Hikaru has been an irreplaceable component of Kalafina so we believe she won’t mind if we send this to her;
  • Message should contain some words of gratitude/appreciation. We want them to feel our love for everything they have done TILL THIS POINT. How has Kalafina affected/changed your life? What are you particularly grateful for? Maybe share an anecdote! The possibilities are endless;
  • The other part of your message should convey your support. Give them strength, encourage them to walk the path they have chosen for themselves. We want them to feel our support of any decision they will make IN THE FUTURE;
  • Please note that the character limit of a tweet is 280 (including spaces and tags). However, feel free to be creative, you can add up to four pictures to your tweet and those pictures can of course contain text fields/boards;
  • Message must contain a personal photo of yourself:
    🠺 You can hide your face;
    🠺 The photo should be related to Kalafina in a creative/unique way that draws attention and is interesting to Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru. Include something that reminds you of Kalafina, a special Kalafina item you own for example, something that has sentimental value, etc…Give your creativity free rein!
  • Message must contain the place you are from (country, city or both);
  • Message is restricted to English! This project will be conducted by foreign fans from all over the world so we want our messages to stand out but we also want to keep things in order. This is why we thought it best to use a common/international language. Plus, we want our messages to be easily understood. I know English isn’t everyone’s native language (it isn’t mine either) but I think we can make this work.
  • We will continue to discuss our plan till 11th of December so please go ahead and send some suggestions;
  • From 11th till 24th of December we can all prepare and finalise our messages;

!!!Important notes!!!

  • Do not make the message about your own frustration, sadness and desire. I know it is tempting but this project is supposed to convey nothing but positivity, it is intended to show our appreciation and support for Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru;
  • We will not demand anything from the girls. We will not ask them to return to Kalafina. We will not ask them to join Yuki Kajiura, etc;
  • This project is directed at the members of Kalafina ONLY, it is not about Yuki Kajiura which is why we will not be tagging her. YK seems to be doing just fine and she is receiving enough support as it is (but feel free to come up with a similar plan that is directed at YK);
  • Please be sure to stick to the above rules and keep the notes in mind;

Some explanation:

  • Hikaru shows a lot of appreciation for foreign fans by tweeting in both Japanese and English. She treats Japanese and overseas fans equally. She also shows her gratitude in many different languages. This is one of the main reasons we have come up with our plan, we want to return the favour and show our appreciation and support. Also, the fact that she has a public twitter account now gives us the unique opportunity to reach out to her (and by extension to Wakana and Keiko);
  • “Why Dec 25?” you may ask. December 25 a.k.a. Christmas is a very special day in many parts of the world and while it is not a traditional holiday in Japan it is still celebrated and associated with many positive emotions. Aside from the religious aspects (which will be ignored for the purpose of this project due to its international nature) this day is above all about love, it’s about rejoicing, it’s about giving without expecting anything in return, so it only seems fitting to conduct our plan on that day. The end of the year is also the perfect timing to reflect on the past and to look ahead at a positive future. In addition, 2018 is Kalafina’s 10th Anniversary Year so we want our project to take place this year;
  • We want to attract as much attention as possible from the media, ideally we would like the media to report about our project, for that reason we are tagging the SPICE editor Takeshi Sato (@kaxtupe ) who has been working closely with Kalafina and the individual members;
  • Since we want as many people as possible to take notice of our project (most importantly we want to reach Wakana, Keiko and Hikaru) we will be adding a common hashtag that will set our messages apart from all the other tweets on twitter. #マイヤイヤ
  • The more people take part in this the better. Together we will polish our plan till December 11;

Will you join us? A similar post has been published on the Kalafina VK fanpage but we also need to reach many more fans from different parts of the world. To all my international followers, please share this info on other forums/sites as well (facebook, weibo, etc)

In her previous tweet Hikaru asked people to share what they were eating for lunch. I love how she is always so interested in what people eat.

Hikaru’s lunch feels very much inspired by Keiko. All that protein just screams Keiko to me XD

Message from Wakana
I am delighted to get such a wonderful opportunity. It will be my first time being accompanied by an orchestra. I am really looking forward to the music that can be created together with so many people, I wonder what kind of sounds we will be able to bring to life? I wonder what kind of sceneries will be seen? I wish to hold a wonderful performance where you can feel each and every sound deep within your body, I really want you to enjoy the atmosphere!
From the bottom of my heart I am looking forward to be connected to you once again through music and smiling faces.

Wakana

OMG, this is AMAZING!! And it’s not a fan club event so it will be easier to get a ticket!! I wasn’t planning to make another long trip to Japan this year. But with Hikaru’s event on July 31 and this live on August 11, I don’t think I can resist. What an amazing birthday present that would be…I will have to think a lot about that.
Interesting fact: The Roma Italia Orchestra has accompanied KOKIA in some of her previous concerts.

Guide: How to get your hands on Kalafina goodies

putschki1969:

I have been getting a lot of asks about this topic recently. Usually those questions come from new fans or from fans who have never bought any of Kalafina’s music releases or their merchandise. Buying Kalafina related items can be quite intimidating for us foreign fans, everything is expensive and it all seems to be out of reach. But fret not, it’s actually not THAT bad. Here’s a simple guide on how (and where) to buy all kinds of Kalafina related products. Don’t hesitate to ask if you still have any questions left after reading this.

Sorry, I have had this in my drafts for a couple of days. I was so distracted by all the Kalafina related news that I completely forgot about this :P Anyways, let‘s get this thing started…

image

Some basics:

  • Have a friend in Japan who is willing to buy stuff for you as soon as it comes out (for most of us that’s not an option but I thought I’d mention it anyways).
  • Get yourself a credit card or PayPal. Those two things will make your life so much easier when it comes to purchasing items on the sites I will mention later. Some sites accept debit cards but most of them don’t.
  • Download an add-on/app for your browser that helps you translate the content on Japanese sites. Usually google translate will suffice but it doesn’t hurt to have something else.
  • Make yourself familiar with your country’s customs regulations. In many cases you will not be able to avoid being charged various customs and import fees so it really helps to know what you have to expect.
  • Be prepared to spend a lot of money. Kalafina stuff is not exactly cheap (this applies to both the music releases as well as the merchandise). While you will be able to make some good deals on second-hand websites, most rare items will be sold for a very high price.
  • Comprise a list of all the things you want (add the original price for future reference). So much stuff has been released in the past decade, it’s not easy to keep track of everything (especially if you add all the different store privileges and other bonus items). Here’s a comprehensive list of all the music releases. This incomplete compilation on cpm will give you a rough idea when it comes to merch/live goods. Also, check out these albums on the Kalafina Facebook Fanpage => Merchandise/Live Goods/ Store privileges. @seasonreaper mentioned that he is working on his very own list so if you need info on rare Kala-items, he is your best chance. Of course you can also ask me, while I am certainly not super savvy when it comes to old Kalafina merchandise, I am sure I can find info on pretty much everything Kalafina-related XD
  • Selected online stores:
    CDJapan
    amazon.jp
    Space Craft Online Store (old)
    Space Craft Online Store (new)
    Yahoo Shopping
    Yahoo Auctions
    Surugu-ya
  • Selected proxy services:
    Buyee
    From Japan
    Tenso (for sites where you can use foreign payment methods but you still need a Japanese address)
